Welcome to Permit Alley Anglers
Permit Alley Anglers is a fly fishing company located in southern Belize's prime fishing waters. Local guides, town councils and government officials have enacted measures to further protect Belize's fishing marvel and most especially fly fishing's "Grand Slam" target species tarpon, bonefish and permit. We support a catch and release program for all fishing trips. While practicing catch and release we also gather research data from each bonefish, permit and tarpon we catch. This information is shared with worldwide resources such as Bonefish & Tarpon Unlimited, The Bonefish and Permit Association, the Smithsonian Institute and National Geographic to help understand and protect our precious natural wonders. Our strategy consists of "Flats fishing" for bonefish, tarpon and permit, river and lagoon fishing for snook and tarpon. Many other species including barracuda abound locally in both brackish water and saltwater.
The most desired sport fish, the permit, abound year around in the waters of southern Belize, along with juvenile tarpon and bonefish. Adult tarpon migrate through the summer, snook tend to winter in nearby rivers and lagoons. The area is also known for indigenous species such as machacha, a distant relative of the piranha that readily strikes and is a spectacular trout like fish with multiple leaps and a strong fight... with a 2-4 pound average they're great on a 5 rod. Permit Alley Anglers will be glad to book your stay at a local resort or several private beach homes in the area Our casting clinics come highly recommended by guests and focus on local techniques to make your fishing experience "unbelizeable" |
